God Takes Delight in His Son [Matthew 3]

13
Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him.

14But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?" 15But Jesus answering said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he permitted Him. 16After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, 17and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

God announced it to the world - Jesus is His beloved Son and He takes delight in Him!  He is well-pleased with Him.   Marvel with me today this announcement.  It means something for you and me who have His beloved Son living in us and who are being transformed by God's grace to be like Christ. You are His beloved child too and He is delighted with you.

As you see God's love for Christ, may you know the length and width, height and depth of God's love and Christ's love for you and be filled with all the fullness of God.  (Ephesians 3:18-19).

We praise You Father for sending Your beloved Son to earth.  You provided the best solution for us with the gospel of Your Son.  Because of Him we too can walk with You as Enoch and Noah did.  Thank You for being a God who wants to be known.
