Establishing God's Peace
God Always Hears His Children [Isaiah 59-60]
1
Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short
That it cannot save;
Nor is His ear so dull
That it cannot hear.
2
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
In Isaiah's time, the Holy Spirit had not yet been given to God's people. Therefore, it was possible for sin to separate God and His people in those days. However, those of us who are believers in these last days, nothing can separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:35-39). He always hears us and will not turn His back on us or hide His face from us because we are sealed with His Spirit and Christ's love.
We praise you, God, that you have given us the privilege of free access to You no matter what we have or have not done because of Jesus. Cause us to delight and enjoy You more and more in the months and years ahead believing that nothing can separate us from Your love.
Beth Warlick, 12/1/2009
