Everything on the Earth [Job 41]

1"Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook?
         Or press down his tongue with a cord?
    2"Can you put a rope in his nose
         Or pierce his jaw with a hook?
    3"Will he make many supplications to you,
         Or will he speak to you soft words?
    4"Will he make a covenant with you?
         Will you take him for a servant forever?
    5"Will you play with him as with a bird,
         Or will you bind him for your maidens?
    6"Will the traders bargain over him?
         Will they divide him among the merchants?
    7"Can you fill his skin with harpoons,
         Or his head with fishing spears?
    8"Lay your hand on him;
         Remember the battle; you will not do it again!
    9"Behold, your expectation is false;
         Will you be laid low even at the sight of him?
    10"No one is so fierce that he dares to arouse him;
         Who then is he that can stand before Me?
    11"Who has given to Me that I should repay him?
         Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine.

God pointed out the biggest and most powerful animal on the earth.  Was it a dinosaur?  Whatever it was it was the beast that had all of mankind in fear.  "
No one is so fierce that he dares to arouse him."  If no man can stand before him, "Who then is he that can stand before Me? "Who has given to Me that I should repay him? Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine.

Think about the most powerful thing you know.  It belongs to God.  Think about the biggest thing you fear.  It belongs to God.  Think about the smallest of your worries.  It belongs to God. Everything under the whole heaven is God's.  Now doesn't that put things in perspective?

We praise You, God, that everything belongs to You.  You are the Creator of heaven and earth.  You are bigger and more powerful than anything we see here on earth.  Thank You, that because of Christ, we can stand before You.  You have made a way for us to be in Your awe-inspiring presence.  Cause us to repent (change of mind) and confess Christ today.
