He Is the Son of God! [John 1]

29The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30"This is He on behalf of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.' 31"I did not recognize Him, but so that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water." 32John testified saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. 33"I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.' 34"I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God."

There are so many truths about Jesus in this first chapter of John.  Doesn't your heart yearn to know Him as the Word, as God, as the creator, as life, as the light of men that shines in darkness?  God says that you have the right to be His child as you receive and believe these truths (v. 12). Exclaim with John the Baptist, "He is the One and Only Son from the Father" (v 14). He has revealed God to man (v.18). "I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God" (v. 34).

Father, we praise You for Jesus.  It is from His fullness that we have received grace after grace.  Thank You Jesus, the Word, for becoming flesh and taking up residence among us (the verb form of tabernacle).  As we celebrate this season of remembering Your birth, let us remember this incredible truth - the Son of God came to earth to be the Lamb of God who takes away our sin!
