Summer News 2010

August 2010  

Beth joins in the adventure of being a Grandma. Verna says goodbye to having four grandchildren live around the corner. Summer is an interesting time for ministry. Usually all the Bible studies are finished until fall and people are coming and going on vacation. As a result, we usually have time to edit the existing curriculum or write some new courses.

This summer Beth became a grandmother for the first time and spent six weeks in Virginia with her daughter Stefanie, husband Brad and new baby Oliver (who arrived six weeks early). She is grateful for all the prayers and notes many of you sent encouraging her during the 20 days Oliver was in the hospital. Needless to say, this summer has been full of becoming Grandma Beth (gb) and she is loving it. She returned home in the middle of July just in time to help plan her son John’s November wedding.

Verna spent her time running the ministry in the midst of helping her daughter, Allison and family move to North Carolina. She is thankful for the gift of having them in the same neighborhood for two years and that they are only going to be four hours away. Her heart is overflowing with joy that Allison and another young mother, Joanna, taught EGP Semesters One and Two this past year enabling her to teach Semester Three and It Is All About Jesus, Living Grace in Hebrews.
