2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Dear Warriors,

You are facing or will face trials of many kinds and I pray that it works to make you mature and complete and not lacking anything.  Your trials as a soldier may be well beyond what I can imagine but I know that God loves you and He is there for you if you call on Him.  Christ even says to Peter in Luke 22:31 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you,Simon, that your faith may not fail."  And I know He has prayed this for you as have I.
