Who Are We?  [2 Corinthians 6]

For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.17"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord.  "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.18"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,"
 Says the Lord Almighty.

From the beginning, God planned to build His temple in us! First, there was the tabernacle, the tent structure that Moses made according to God's design so that God could dwell with His people in the desert. Then, Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, a magnificent imposing place where God's glory was manifest for a time. These were a foreshadowing of the coming and work of Jesus. Then, Jesus, God's Son, tabernacled among us (John 1:14) and as planned all along, Jesus died for our sins enabling God's Spirit to dwell within His people. Now "we are the temple of the living God."

God
Made us His temple
Dwells in us
Walks among us
He is our God
We are His people
Welcomes us
Is a Father to us
We are His sons and daughters
He is the Lord Almighty

We praise You that You are our Father, the Lord Almighty, who dwells in us. Cause us to remember that we are Your temple and to depend on You for strength and wisdom to let Your Spirit shine in our lives.
