No Darkness At All [1 John 1]
5This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
I was talking with Verna the other day about the nature of light. She was explaining how light overtakes darkness. When you open a door to a dark room, darkness doesn't flood in and change the lighting in a bright room. However, when you are in a dark room and open a door to a light room, the light floods in and removes some of the darkness. God's presence in our lives removes darkness, but not all of it while we live in these flesh bodies. However, as we are willing to acknowledge the dark places and open them up to God, His light will flood into those places. Then, one day when we shed these flesh bodies, we will be totally filled with His light...and there will be no darkness at all.
We praise You that you are light and that You light up our lives. Cause us to be willing to expose our dark places to You so that we can be bright lights in this world.
