The Perfect Planner [Isaiah 45-46]

Isaiah 45:
⁶That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun
         That there is no one besides Me.
         I am the LORD, and there is no other,
    ⁷The One forming light and creating darkness,
         Causing well-being and creating calamity;
         I am the LORD who does all these.
²²"Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
         For I am God, and there is no other.
    ²³"I have sworn by Myself,
         The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
         And will not turn back,
         That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.
    ²⁴"They will say of Me, 'Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength '
Isaiah 46:

⁹"Remember the former things long past,

         For I am God, and there is no other;
         I am God, and there is no one like Me,
    ¹⁰Declaring the end from the beginning,
         And from ancient times things which have not been done,
         Saying, 'My purpose will be established,
         And I will accomplish all My good pleasure';
    ¹¹Calling a bird of prey from the east,
         The man of My purpose from a far country
         Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.
         I have planned it, surely I will do it.

I couldn't get to sleep last night until wee hours of the morning.  Yes,  my mind would not shut down and I thought about all the things I still need to do.  Even if we had a wedding planner for my daughter's wedding, I would still need to think of all these things to tell her!  And then these precious words in Isaiah this morning.  I do have a wedding planner and He has the best plan that will accomplish all His good pleasure. Where He has a purpose in our life,  we can take these words as ours, "Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it."

We praise You, that You are God, and there is no other.  You make success and You create disaster.  Your plan will take place and when it does it brings You good pleasure.  You are the Perfect Planner.  Cause us to trust You with Your plans.
