God's Character [Isaiah 63-64]

6"I trod down the peoples in My anger
And made them drunk in My wrath,
And I poured out their lifeblood on the earth."

7I shall make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, the praises of the LORD,
According to all that the LORD has granted us,
And the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has granted them according to His compassion
And according to the abundance of His lovingkindnesses.

After reading and rereading Isaiah 63-64 several times, Isaiah 63:6-7 caught my attention because they capture seemingly incompatible qualities of God and put them side by side. Verse 6 is an awful description God's anger and wrath and is immediately followed by praise for His lovingkindness, great goodness and compassion. The wrath, in this case, is against nations that are not His people and the lovingkindness is directed toward His people. God is an angry God who can do, has done and will do great destruction in His anger and wrath to those who are not His people. We must not skip over or forget the Sovereignty and power of God as He confronts His enemies or those who do not know Him and believe in Jesus. He is coming again one day to destroy all who will not name the name of Jesus. This wrath of God is part of our message in these last days. We need to warn people what is coming by God's hand and design as we come closer to the end. But we have the other half of the message, too, that He loves His children and grants us great goodness and an abundance of lovingkindness for those who will call on the name of Jesus. We have the privilege of having God's story and character all laid out for us so that we may live with joy and peace in knowing what is going to happen and that God will see us through it all by His grace. May we take His message to heart and share the good news of Jesus and take as many people as possible with us into the new creation.

God, we praise You that Your righteous anger and wrath will destroy all that is evil in this world one day. Cause us to accept that Your wrath is appropriate and good and perfectly directed. Cause us to embrace all of who You are and to share the message of the second coming of Your Son and all that it means. Guide and empower us in spreading the gospel of grace wherever we go. Thank you for our great salvation and that we are a people who are well graced!

Hi, we are all like that little girl to see around the world with the glasses called god. The life he has given us and asked us to look with his eyes and wear his glasses to look at him. But, we being sinner`s was like the camel in a sandstorm where it cannot see anything we are also like camel closing our eyes in the sandstorm as per https://best-essay-writing.services/essaysupply-com-review/ blogs . Once we come out that lies and wear the glasses what God has given us than we can find the real meaning for our lives
