God's Grace Now and Through Eternity [Rev. 22]
1Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2in the middle of its street On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.
6And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true"; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place. 7"And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
20He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly " Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
Yes, He is coming quickly. And we say, "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." In the meantime, we have His grace. What a reassurance - we have His divine influence on our hearts and His reflection in our lives. We have His Spirit and His power to live until He comes. What a sweet reminder He has given us in these last written words. They tie up the whole book of Revelation. They tie up the whole Scriptures. The grace of God is with us.
We praise You God for Your grace. We praise You for the Lamb who sits with You on the throne. You are worthy of praise, honor and glory. Your words are faithful and true. You are the beginning and the end. It is all about You. Amen - may it be so in my life today.
